First, let me wish anyone who cruises by the blog here a Safe and Happy Holiday Season! Secondly, it looks like we're in for another typical Shapiro off season. In the spirit of the season, a ho-ho-ho-hummer of an off-season. Does it seem like fans simply aren't his concern, as he has stated, by saying putting fans in the seats isn't his job. Or does it just seem like that to the many. Eh, who knows. And has everyone not had enough with the steroids issue? Jeez, give it a rest. Shoot it now Abe, shoot it now! Mitchell screwed up by naming names in his report, and he has mentioned he wishes he didn't. The names are pointless. Mitchell's point is well made, but glossed over by the ignorant, like Spud Selig. Mitchell stated that everyone involved with baseball, from the commissioner, to the owners, to the players, were at fault. But lets finger all the players, right? Naaaaa, I doubt there were any 'people in charge' of an organization that may have 'pushed' a player into some steroid useage, do you? Just alittle sumthin-sumthin to give him a boost, maybe add a year to the career, maybe get him off the injured list alittle sooner, alittle stronger. Naaaaaa. And of course the commissioners office simply had no clue as to the useage of steroids. No, of course not! Not Spud Selig! What we're seeing here over the past 20 years or so was an America running rampant with drug useage, or experimenting with them. So of course we're to think this was excluded by baseball players? Get over it. It happened. Put the rules in place, test these guys for substance abuse, and by all means.... LET'S PLAY BALL!

| TribeZone Mike December 21, 2007 09:24 PM PST Hey Thanks Chef....we should partner up some on our sites sometime..... Back to Spud, and steroids, which is said to have run rampant amoung the players, what does it say about how the 'man' in charge is in touch with his organization? He knew nothing, eh Colonel Klink? But hey, read the news to day, the owners just love Spud....They Love him! The way they talk he's the next best thing to....to steroids! Owners vs The Players They love the rotten press of it all. And Spud is the perfect guy to help orchestrate it.... From one Tribe fan to another Chef.....Have a great Christmas eh! And a safe one! | ||
| Chef Wahoo December 21, 2007 06:18 PM PST I like the way you think, but I have to point out one small thing you might have overlooked. Selig never saw the Roids in baseball, he always only saw his pathetic Brewers team, and no ne was on the roids there..just look at the numbers. Of course this post is in jest about "Spud" he always seems to have blinders on when it comes to baseball..or maybe he is really justthat stupid. | ||
